Hamburg City Hall \u2013 holistic accessibility concept for an historical setting<\/strong><\/p>\n

grauwert<\/em> currently advises the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg on a strategy to improve the accessibility of the city hall building, applying both small and bigger changes. The aim is to achieve the best possible accessibility in conjunction with a respectful treatment of this listed building. grauwert<\/em> takes into consideration the various user requirements (regarding vision, hearing, sign language, mobility and comprehension) and strives to also include suggestions from local associations and the Senate\u2019s Coordinator for the Equality of Disabled People.<\/p>\n

At the same time, grauwert<\/em> works together with the Senate to find solutions which are easy to implement and workable, as these would need to meet security requirements, respect the historic building and fit in with the daily operations at the city hall. This grauwert<\/em> project once again shows the advantages of the Design for All<\/em> concept, which combines added value for diverse target groups with quality design.<\/p>\n\n
