Audio and visual support in cinema and theater

In order to make cultural events accessible to audience with limited visual or hearing capacities, the streaming solution MobileConnect and CinemaConnect was developed with the assistance of grauwert. This allows the live sound from the stage in the theater or the movie sound in the cinema to be experienced without delay on the smartphones of the spectators. Users are therefore not dependent on untrusted loan equipment, and operators do not have to purchase and maintain them.

The streaming solution offers added value for the most serious users, because in the theater and cinema, both the headphones and the induction loops can be connected to the smartphone. For visual impairment, a scene description (audio description) is available. Also subtitles and language versions (original language) can be received in the cinema hall. The apps can be used individually and unobtrusively, which is particularly important for the users as well as the other viewers.
